They are a new firm with innovative solutions to enable business operators and owners to grow their companies. The founder has a strong background as a Bay Street accountant whose passion is developing and fostering client relationships through exceptional service.

They are a hybrid organization, meeting in person as needed in either our Toronto or Oakville offices, and servicing clients in the Greater Toronto Area. Duties and Responsibilities

My client has a dynamic new full-time Senior Accountant position for an accounting professional with expertise in accounting and tax. Successful candidates will:

- Obtain the necessary documentation and using it to effectively prepare and review personal tax returns and corporate year end package
- Review accuracy of tax returns for filing
- Prepare tax provisions, where required
- Assist the team with tax planning and reorganizations, as well as mergers and acquisition transactions (if desired, not required)
- Assist with CRA inquiries and reviews
- Respond to inquiries from clients
- Recommend tax strategies that align with the firm's strategic vision and goals
- Potentially supervise or mentor staff (if desired, not required)
- Maintain required level of technical knowledge and follow industry trends and changes related to tax
- Seek methods to increase efficiency and participate in related brainstorming 

Qualifications

- Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or economics or equivalent experience
- CPA designation is optional
- 5+ years of experience in personal and corporate tax compliance
- A solid team player with flexibility and initiative
- Proficient in CaseWare and Tax Prep

Salary range:$70,000 to $92,000CAD per annum
